Marine Display Applications
As marine vessels become floating information networks, their operators need even more information available to them. The increased use of fleet management applications makes it even more important to have a marine-worthy display on-board to communicate valuable operating information.
Marine environments are extremely challenging for displays. Sun, moisture, salt and sea fog make it difficult off-the-shelf displays to adequately communicate information, much less even stand up to these rough elements. To survive, marine LCD displays need sealed enclosures to keep out moisture, optical bonding for improved clarity in high ambient light and an ultra-wide vertical viewing angle for various heights of the viewer. Even the touch screen needs to be optimized for use in a marine vessel. Our LX series of marine displays were designed specifically to withstand the challenges posed by marine conditions.
