Mining Display Applications

Mining vehicles are no longer just for moving material. As mining vehicles become critical parts of larger information networks, their operators need even more information available to them. The increased use of fleet management applications makes it even more important to have a mining ready display on-board to communicate valuable operating information.

Mining environments are extremely challenging for displays. Sun, moisture, dust and vibration make it difficult off-the-shelf displays to adequately communicate information, much less even stand up to these rough elements. To survive, mining LCD displays need sealed enclosures to keep out moisture, optical bonding for improved clarity in high ambient light and an ultra-wide vertical viewing angle for various heights of the viewer. Even the touch screen needs and cables need to be optimized for use in mining equipment.
