The LX0801PTI is ideally suited for marine environments where sun, moisture, salt and sea fog create challenges for standard, off-the-shelf displays. They offer a sealed enclosure, optical bonding and an ultra-wide vertical viewing angle and an integrated touch screen. Optical bonding provides durability and contrast, which are essential for a display in a marine vessel.
The LX Mariner series the first of its kind to integrate a touchscreen as part of the solution. Up to this point, boat manufacturers were limited to the use of membrane buttons below the screen as a user interface control. This breakthrough combined with its sunlight readability, make Planar’s new displays attractive to boat manufacturers and their customers.
